We get this question quite often, and it’s a good one! In a complicated category, at 180 Pure we try and keep things simple. We source and curate a lineup of THC-Free CBD products that are best in class. Period.
Whole Plant. Broad Spectrum. THC Free. Lab Tested
Broad Spectrum. In other words, whole-plant based – minus the THC. We use the hemp plant, as it’s found in nature – and extract only the THC compound. That’s it, super simple. We’re passionate about providing a whole plant based solution that is free of what our customers are concerned about (THC)! All our products are made with this broad spectrum oil, packed with naturally occurring phytonutrients.
The combined benefits of CBD and other naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes from the hemp plant make our products truly synergistic. This process is known as the ‘entourage effect’, which essentially means that the combined effects of the different naturally occurring compounds in the hemp plant produce a greater effect than if they’re used alone.
But let’s be clear. Not all Broad-Spectrum CBD Oil is the same. Our broad-spectrum CBD products are GMO, solvent, heavy-metals, pesticide and herbicide free. While in the manufacturing process our product is tested multiple times, we also make sure to have every finished product tested by a third-party to ensure it’s purity and potency.
What is our extraction process?
Or, asked more simply – how do we get our oil from the hemp plant? Our oil is extracted from the flowers of the hemp plant only – which contain the purest source of cannabinoids. We also use a proprietary engineering process to create our Phytocannabinoid- Rich (PCR) hemp oil products. This extraction method maintains the broad plant profile – ensuring a broad spectrum of cannabinoids, terpenes, and fatty acids from the natural plant.
To extract the THC molecule only out of the plant, we use a process called ‘Liquid Chromatography’. This is a large part of what makes our products different! This process involves separating the THC from the extract at a low temperature (under 205 degrees), by utilizing a binding agent that attaches to the THC molecules. This cold, enclosed, and continuous manufacturing processes prevents the degradation of natural molecules during extraction and purification process. Most other CBD brands use a THC remediation process called ‘Distillation’. In this process, the raw oil is refined using high heat and pressure to distill the CBD. Finished distilate sometimes can create unknown compounds because of the high heat in the process.
We continue to pursue products and formulations, grounded in our values – that our customers can count on. We source and curate a lineup of THC-Free CBD products that are best in class.
